Clannad first gained notoriety in 1983 for their song 'Theme from Harry's Game'. Effortlessly fusing traditional Irish Folk Music with the best in modern instrumentation and production techniques,the band created what has become their trademark, a unique and beautiful sound. In 1984 they produced the album Legend, the soundtrack to the UK television series Robin of Sherwood. Written by siblings Moya, Ciarán and Pól Brennan, the core of Clannad was complete for the recording of Legend with the addition of their Uncles, and twin brothers themselves, Noel and Pádraig Duggan. Clannad have won numerous prestigious awards for their music, over an amazing 40 year career, and continue to write and perform both collectively and individually. Most recently, in January 2011, the original line-up were to be seen performing a special 40th anniversary concert in Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin. Jean Claude Wouters, ex-dancer of Maurice Bejart's dance company, also visited Japan in 1980 for the first time.  Since then, he has visited Japan almost every year，and thinks of Japan being his second country.
