20 years living in the Canadian Wilderness never gets old. I've had the same experience running into Bears, Moose, Cariboo, Otters, Mink, Beavers, Wolves, Arctic Foxes and just about everything else still roaming wild. Sadly - I never had a Camera to record most of it. I did this time...

lol, every day that I'm away for work or church, etc, Ron my pet red fox greets me with an overabundance of love and affection and excitement when I come home!!! He's all "I WUV U DADDIIIII"! :-P It's the middle of October, and his fur coat is gettin so lovely and foxeh thick! Such a pleasure to pet and caress him! :D ________________________________ Ron is a pet red fox I bought from a licensed exotic animal breeder, in Oklahoma, captive-bred and hand-raised. My state of Arkansas allows pet foxes without any permit needed. He enjoys a large outdoor habitat and also a small indoor caged spot in my living room. Foxes are said to make 'bad' pets, but I would rather say foxes make wonderful pets!... just rather destructive, moody pets, NOT FOR CHILDREN. Every potential fox owner/companion MUST have an outdoor pen built fox-proof; here's some examples--- www.furaffinity.net/view/2812518/ raptor-painter.deviantart.com/art/Building-a-better-fox-kennel-5-203764564 Now the best resource... www.raskbb.com/sybilsden/viewforum.php?f=6 It is Sybil's Message Board. yaaaaay, new RonRon video!!! Poor summer foxie has shed out all the winter undercoat, and is left with the typical scrawny summer fox look, with short new fur close to the skin, and old longer thinned out hairs left from last winter, until they fall out one by one. I luff coming home to my foxie, always so happy to see me, running around like this, and then throwing himself at my feet, for scritchings xD Here, I get his eeeears really good.... I LOVE THOSE EARS!!! ________________________________ Ron is a pet red fox I bought from a licensed exotic animal breeder, in Oklahoma, captive-bred and hand-raised.

Lion Protecting Girl

How do you survive a lion attack? Simple, don't put yourself or the wild animal in the position to attack or maul. Should lions and tigers be pets? Do you know how many wild animals, kept as pets, have mauled, killed or attacked humans / people and then the wild animal owner was shocked because they had "raised it right"? Bottle feeding baby lions and tigers does not make them safe pets. Do you know how many lion attacks and tigers attacks and leopard attacks there have been? There have been more wild animal attacks that you realize. The more people that visit CatLaws.com the better chances of making it illegal to have lions as pets in all 50 sates. PLEASE READ THIS to understand fully the point of the video. That lion's story is a really sad one. He and several other big cats were owned by a bad backyard breeder. When they didn't want them anymore they put them in horse trailer and left them there without food or water. HOT, FILTHY, MISERABLE etc. By the time the sanctuary found them and rescued them a leopard had already died in the horse trailer from the heat and apparent starvation. The sanctuary rescued them, gave them medical care and large yards to be in, food daily, and daily cleaning of their yards and dens. The beginning of the video the man who runs the sanctuary is pulling the steel bar out that secures the door between the den and yard, so the door could swing open to let the lions out into the yard for the day. They spend most of their time in the yard but go into the den/cage when the yard needs cleaned or repaired. This lion always acts like this if he thinks anyone is going to get near "Girl", as the staff affectionately calls the lioness. He loves and adores her even more than you would expect a lion to adore a lioness. I often hear people say I want a pet tiger or I want a pet lion, so this video shows what it looks like to the victims of wild animal attacks. That sanctuary has rescued over 30 lions, tigers, cougars & bears from the southern part of our state, therefore, I felt it was important to show people that when they buy a cute cuddly cub they would have a large, strong and potentially dangerous carnivore in their backyard when it grows up. Of course, we'd prefer all lions be in the wild. However, when someone else makes a lion captive, raises it in captivity, there just is no safe or affordable way to return it to the wild. Wild habitat areas are diminishing at an alarming rate. If we intend to save wild animals we need to get serious about preserving and protecting wild habitats, not raising wild animals in cages in backyards. Please help prevent more lions, tigers, leopards, bears from needing rescues from bad pet owners or going thru what these lions endured. Check into Haley's Act! FRIENDLY URBAN FOX03:09

FRIENDLY URBAN FOX

My new friend Urban foxes, for 60 years they have lived alongside us humans. They have become the equivalent of wild dogs in our cities. Post mortem inspection has revealed that most of their diet consists of earthworms, which must be what they eat in the wild as a last resort to stay alive. Thats why you find those annoying holes in your garden. To say that feeding them is removing their hunting instincts in my opinion is wrong, as they no longer have them, there is nothing for them to hunt in Cities. They have quickly evolved into scavengers. The average life span of a pet fox is ten to twelve years, a wild one 4 and and an urban one 6. in spite of so many being killed on the road, so living alongside humans seems to benefit the fox. In London they tried to eradicate them, but as soon as they killed them, fresh ones moved in so they gave up. Lilly is one of a few foxes that visit my garden, and is the cheekiest by far, the original first contact was made by her. I used to leave food for them but one day I was late, so she sat and waited for me. I took the food out, and sat outside watching her eat. When she had finished, she came up to me and sat at my feet and asked for more.I was amazed that she gingerly took it from my hand.

Feeding wild foxes at the Alaska summer cabin. Two male foxes have been hanging out with us for the last three summers. We've found they really like Kraft Jet Puffed Marshmallows, salmon skin, chicken bones and leftover cinnamon rolls. "Senior" comes inside the front door, and "Slim-Jim" eats marshmallows out of my hand. Don't try this in your back yard!

Foxy fox meets the new kits

Under normal wild circumstances a wild female fox would kill the kits of another female. However foxy fox is not wild and although this could have been a dangerous experiment because of the way foxy acted toward the babies I thought it would be a good test, and I am not really surprised by the outcome. Foxy has not been bred yet I intend to breed her next year at the age of two, as I saw no reason to breed her in her first year. I have a male calico that is a baby right now but by fall will be old enough to breed and their kits will be more like having a litter of kittens or puppies than a litter of foxes as both her and her mate will both be hand raised and she obviously has a motherly instinct, and being older then the male she will breed with she will be dominate to him and I will have no reason to separate them after she has her kits next year because between her dominance and them both being hand raised there will be no reason to worry about the male hurting the kits. So who ever adopts their kits will be getting foxes that will be raised by both mother, father and me, and there fore will be perfectly tame and wonderful pets.
