Big Sister is marrying 21st-century technology with the world's oldest profession to profit from the public's appetite for ever-more graphic reality TV. Since 2005, more than 15,000 men have taken up the offer of free sex in return for 15 minutes, or less, of fame, according to the brothel. Big Sister is now expanding into the U.S. with a local version of its Web site. Back in October, folks were buzzing about AMP energy drink's iPhone application, "Before You Score," a social media tool that let dudes share their sexual exploits on Twitter and Facebook (you know, like a modern-day "Dear Penthouse"). Now, it's all about Burger King's Shower Babe. The British ad campaign includes a Web site targeted toward men 18 and older that features a daily video billed as "the world's first guilt-free shower-cam." Just click play to watch a tone-deaf girl in a bikini "shake her bits to the hits." Each day, viewers can also vote on what song the little lassie will sing tomorrow and what bikini she will don (I voted for "You're So Vain" and the saucy lil' number with the fried eggs on the top). There's been much muttering in the blogosphere about the decidedly misogynistic nature of the ad campaign, to which a Burger King spokesman responded: "Our research showed that breakfast is a male-centric audience for Burger King; it doesn't resonate as well with women — we are targeting the people who are buying breakfast." Sarah Power, marketing director U.K. and Eire for Burger King added to this sentiment in a statement: "Our shower-cam gives hungry Brits the chance to watch the BK Shower Girl singing in the shower every day to help them work up an appetite for our fantastic new breakfast range." While the claim that women don't dig breakfast is rather dubious, BK stuck to their guns in making this campaign as male-centric as possible. The Web site also features a contest, the grand prize, of course, being a date with the Shower Babe. Runners-up will receive a case of "proper man toiletries," including the infamous Burger King Flame cologne (which smells like meat. Yum). While some may find the very existence of the Shower Babe to be an affront to decades of progress (see the below audition video for even more anger-inducing fodder), the campaign is most likely going to achieve its end: Reaching as many eyes as possible. That is, of course, if it doesn't meet the same fate at the "Before You Score" app.

Ben Slade, headteacher of Manor Community College in Cambridge, said the photographs of Gray, who is the head of Physical Education at the school, should not have been published.Slade ordered the racy photos removed from the website iModel.com once he became aware of them. The photos feature the teacher in a range of suggestive poses. Gray was voted the UK's sexiest teach on a television show in 2002. Why doesn't the U.S. have a similar award? BURBANK, Calif. (CBS/AP) Amy Beck, a teacher at David Starr Jordan Middle School, is being accused of having sex and oral sex with a 14-year-old student. The 33-year-old English and social science teacher is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on four counts of unlawful sex with a person under 16, and one count of oral copulation with a person under 16, according to Contra Costa Times. Beck was booked on suspicion of lewd or lascivious acts with a child of 14 or 15 years and was held on $400,000 bail, Burbank police Sgt. Robert Quesada said to CBS affiliate KCAL. "She said she had sexual relations with one of her students," Quesada said. Police interviewed the boy "and confirmed that the acts did occur" between March and September of 2009. Burbank police spokesman Keith Sterling told The Associated Press the boy was 14 at the time. Prosecutors say the married mother of three faces up to seven years in prison if convicted of all charges. If you have a scrap of progressive politics in your bones, it's no surprise to you that sexism hurts women. Like, duh. That's kind of the definition of the word. But we don't talk as much about how sexism hurts men. Understandably. When you look at the grotesque ways women are damaged by sexism -- from economic inequality to political disenfranchisement to literal, physical abuse -- it makes perfect sense that we'd care more about how sexism and patriarchy and rigid gender roles affect women, than we do about how they affect men. But men undoubtedly get screwed up by this stuff, too. Not screwed up as badly as women, to be sure... but not trivially, either. I care about it. And I think other feminists -- and other women and men who may not see themselves as feminists -- ought to care about it, too. So I've been looking more carefully at the specific ways sexism hurts men. In particular, I've been looking at our society's expectations of men, our very definitions of maleness. I've been looking at how rigid and narrow many of these expectations are, creating a razor-thin window of acceptable manly behavior that you'd have to be a professional tightrope walker to navigate. (Which would be a problem, since "professional tightrope walker" is definitely outside the parameters of acceptable manliness.) I've been looking at how so many of these expectations are not only rigid, but totally contradictory, creating a vision of idealized manhood that's not just ridiculous but literally unattainable. And I've been asking the men in my life -- friends, colleagues, family members, community members, guys I know on the Internet -- what kinds of expectations they get about Being A Man and how those expectations affect them. Research conducted by the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University found "no universal consensus on which behaviors constituted having 'had sex.'" Questions in the telephone survey of 486 random participants asked about different behaviors: manual-genital, oral-genital, penile-vaginal intercourse and penile-anal intercourse. The study also looked at different outcomes and qualifiers, including orgasm in women, ejaculation in men, short duration, or wearing condoms. Among the study's other findings about what counts as having "had sex," around 20% didn't count anal sex and around 30% didn't count oral sex: While 81% considered penile-anal intercourse to be sex, the rate was lower in men aged 18-29 (77%) and far lower in men aged 65 and up (50%); 73% counted receiving oral sex, but only 71% counted giving oral sex -- the response was lower among older and younger men; Overall, responses were similar among both genders The study involved 204 men and 282 women in the state of Indiana.
