Author Christopher Hitchens discusses his book "God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything" as a part of the Authors@Google series. The author of Why Orwell Matters and Letters to a Young Contrarian, Christopher Hitchens is a Vanity Fair contributing editor, a Slate columnist, and a regular contributor to The Atlantic Monthly. He has also written for The Nation, Granta, Harper's, The Washington Post, and is a frequent television and radio guest. Born in England, Hitchens was educated at Balliol College, Oxford, where he received a degree in philosophy, politics, and economics. He now lives in Washington, D.C., and he became a U.S. citizen in 2007. This event took place on August 16, 2007 at Google headquarters in Mountain View, CA.

Sam Harris is the author of the New York Times bestsellers, The End of Faith and Letter to a Christian Nation. The End of Faith won the 2005 PEN Award for Nonfiction. Mr. Harris' writing has been published in over fifteen languages. He and his work have been discussed in Newsweek, TIME, The New York Times,Scientific American, Nature, Rolling Stone, and many other journals. His writing has appeared in Newsweek, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Times (London), The Boston Globe, The Atlantic, The Annals of Neurology, and elsewhere. Mr. Harris is a Co-Founder and CEO of The Reason Project, a nonprofit foundation devoted to spreading scientific knowledge and secular values in society. He holds a degree in philosophy from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA.

The seed was planted over a dinner shared between good friends Tom Corwin and author/journalist Peter Laufer with the idea of buying a classic bookmobile, stocking it with donated books from libraries and publishers, and driving it cross-country through small towns with acclaimed authors taking turns at the wheel. At each stop Corwin opens the bookmobiles doors inviting the public in to take their choice of digital and analog titles in exchange for an interview about what books have meant in their lives. A documentary film crew and a radio production team capture those stories, along with conversations with those authors along for the ride. Peter Coyote and Jane Ganahl join Tom Corwin at the Googleplex to talk about the bookmobile project.

In February 2008, a documentary was produced to communicate the partnerships being formed to support the development of the very first casino in Kansas, Boot Hill Casino & Resort. The film was the result of more than 20 interviews, and 3 days of shooting and documenting the sites, sounds, and attractions of Dodge City, KS in the making of "Old West, New Excitement". The video was completed in time to be shown in a town-hall presentation by the developer, Butler National to state-wide committee members, as well as citizens who attended the public hearing. Following the presentation, Butler National was chosen to be the developer of Boot Hill Casino & Resort. After ten-years of lobbying and development, Boot Hill Casino & Resort is under construction and on-schedule to open its first phase in December 2009, including 575 slot machines and 10 gaming tables. The second phase will open December 2011 adding a 124 room hotel, pool, spa, additional restaurants and lounges, and generally doubling the gaming floor. Dodge City and Boot Hill are names known around the world hosting visitors since 1872. Now, Boot Hill Casino delivers on its promise of re-creating the legends of Old West with New Entertainment.

Sarah Northrup, one of Cowboys & Angels' color specialists demonstrates a color correction on model Marissa. Marissa is a natural level 8 with tinted level 6 ends. She is trying to get back to her natural color but has had one partial highlight which has left her hair uneven with light roots and dark ends.
