The skin-hugging bit is really what got Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs as they based their Fall/Winter 2012-2013 line on Pedro Almodovar's The Skin I Live In where a plastic surgeon is obsessed with making a second skin that cannot damage or burn, while also looking for the perfect replica of his dead wife. It makes sense, as the designers are known for their form fitting frocks that highlight the female form. Unique cutouts and body moldings on the dresses created the illusion of this second skin through body-hugging dresses. No, not everything was tight, but almost everything looked like the bustier had been reworked in some way to create that image and zippers held pieces in place.
