The new Maserati Grancabrio Sport debuts at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. The new car will offer more driving enjoyment thanks to an improved overall vehicle dynamics, more horse power, a more responsive and efficient engine and optimized gearshift response. The GranCabrio Sport uses a more powerful and fuel-efficient version of Maserati's all-alloy 4.7-litre V8. This configuration produces 331 kW (450 horsepower) and has 510Nm at the peak of its rich, thick torque curve. Maserati's Friction Reduction Program has made the GranCabrio Sport's engine more reactive to the driver's most-nuanced inputs thanks to a revision of the oil sump's fluid dynamics and the Diamond-Like Coating of the tappets and the camshaft lobes, while achieving a further 6% reduction in fuel consumption. The GranCabrio, the first four-seater convertible in the history of Maserati, made its international début at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. The Gran Cabrio is being called the third prong of the Trident as it completes Maseratis product line-up that now consists of three different families of models: Quattroporte, GranTurismo and GranCabrio sedan, coupe and convertible. The GranCabrio continues in the Maserati tradition of open-top models, and adds to a line-up that created the car makers fabled. The Maserati GranCabrio Fendi comes with an exclusive bespoke finish created by the Italian fashion house. The car has a 3-layered body color called Grigio Fiamma Fendi (Flaming Grey Fendi) which features hints of gold on its surface. Inside is a wood trim in Pergamena Fendi (yellow-colored) on the dashboard, doors and gear knob, complemented by the yellow brake calipers and Maserati badge on the headrests. The Fendi logo (a double 'F') is stitched onto the seats and also featured on the 20-inch wheels. Cuoio Romano (Roman leather) is used for detailing the instrument panel, gear lever and the Limited Edition Travel Set luggage and accessories that will be offered with the GranCabrio Fendi. (less)

This is it! The 2010 Maserati GranCabrio! Saw this beautiful piece of Italian engineering at the Cars and Coffee at St. Louis Motorsports. The GranCabrio, also called the GranTurismo convertible, runs the same exact setup as the GranTurismo S. The car is beautiful. One of the prettiest cars in the world. I was lucky enough to see one of several traveling around the world right now at an exhibition event. The GranCabrio has a 433 HP V8 engine taking it from 0-60 in 5.3 seconds with a top speed of 176 MPH. It is a soft-top convertible that lost none of its beautiful shape during the change.
