This rap was created for a 6th grade science classroom to teach about the different parts of a cell. With its catchy rhythm and rhymes, students of all learning styles and abilities will be able to learn about cells and their functions while having fun! "Cells, Cells" Original Rap by Ms. Quitmeyer Today's the day were gonna learn about the cell If I teach it okay, you'll know it very well So listen up 6th graders- -no room left for haters- lets talk about the building blocks of life- cells that make us. Chorus: Cells, cells they're made of organelles Try to pull a fast one, the cytoplasm gels The nucleus takes over controllin' everything The party don't stop 'till the membrane blocks the scene Inside the vacuole we can float around for hours Running round with chloroplasts, lovin' sunlight showers Cells, cells, they're made of organelles First things first, there's two different types- animal and plant cells that make up all life. The little things that make up microscopic cells, The main structures- yeah, we call them organelles. Now let's break it down and get some information- How do cells work? It's a crazy combination! -Chorus- The cell membrane is the border patrol, Who can cross over? The membrane lets 'em know The gooey stuff inside, is called the cytoplasm It holds the organelles- don't worry, plasm-has 'em! In the middle of the cell you'll find the big brain, The nucleus surrounded by nuclear membrane Don't forget the vacuole filled up with water It's a basic ... (less)

This is a 5.5 minute dramatic video choreographed to powerful music, which introduces the viewer to the wonder and miracle of the cell division and cell cycle. It is designed as a motivational "trailer" to be shown by Biology, Biochemistry and Life Science teachers in middle and high school and college as a visual "Introduction" to this miracle of life. As a high school Biology teacher myself, I have found this video to truly inspire my students to want to learn more about the topic. Please rate this video and feel free to comment. If you like it, please help me spread the word via social media. The more students and teachers who can enjoy the wonder of Science, the better. I wish to thank all of the video and music producers whose quality postings enabled me to create this video for educational use. To best enjoy this video, turn up your speakers. The music is very dramatic. Subscribe to my channel for other video trailers in Biology, Earth Science and Astronomy. I will be releasing new ones periodically. I can customize this video to add your name or school name at the end credits for a very modest fee. If interested, email me at "inquiry@gregs-educational.info" (less)

Integrative Biology 131: General Human Anatomy. Fall 2005. Professor Marian Diamond. The functional anatomy of the human body as revealed by gross and microscopic examination. The Department of Integrative Biology offers a program of instruction that focuses on the integration of structure and function in the evolution of diverse biological systems. It investigates integration at all levels of organization from molecules to the biosphere, and in all taxa of organisms from viruses to higher plants and animals. The department uses many traditional fields and levels of complexity in forging new research directions, asking new questions, and answering traditional questions in new ways. The various... (less)

www.cancerfoundation.com Natural Killer Cells are the most aggressive white cells in the immune system. They make up about 5% to 15% of the total lymphocyte circulating population. They target tumor cell and protect against a wide variety of infectious microbes. Natural Killer Cells are a very important factor in the fight against cancer. Immune Stimulation is the key to keeping the white blood cell count high and giving the Natural Killer Cells a chance to fight cancer and other diseases. To purchase this DVD please visit www.greatpacificmedia.com Segment from the program Cellular Reproduction: Mitosis, Cytokinesis, and the Cell Cycle DVD Description Our Mitosis DVD starts by introducing the cell cycle and briefly describing the process of binary fusion in prokaryotic cells before going on to a detailed look at the eukaryotic cell cycle from the G1, S and G2 phases of interphase through the prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase phases of mitosis. The difference between cytokinesis in animal and plant cells is then illustrated. The program concludes by explaining why an understanding of cellular division is critical to: conquering cancer, cloning organs, and perhaps even reversing aging. (less)

Hey class listen up were about to tell About all the parts inside the cell Though the parts are small, called organelles Were about to let loose, so listen well (Chorus) There are cells inside all of us And learning about them is a must Nilla-Shep cant rap, dont make a fuss Cause you got B-Gold and the Adrenaline Rush By the plasma membrane, the cell is bound On the outer surface, microvilii are found Selectively permeable, keep cells safe and sound By Cilia and flagella, the cell moves around The nucleus is like the brain It rules everything in the cells terrain In the envelope, it is contained See, we could rap all over 50-Cent and T-Pain Under microscope, you need some light To see the Chromatin, okay? (alright) Its chromosomes, that are not yet formed And from the nucleolus ribosomes are born CHORUS The cytoskeleton suspended in the cytosol Connects all the organelles one and all Keeps the cells shape: branch, disc, or ball Keeping all the parts still, so they wont fall The protein is made in the ribosome Particles digested in the lysosome Hyrdrogens produced in peroxisomes And the cells divided by the centrosomes The Cells way to move its inside stuff Is by the ERs both smooth and rough The latter with ribosomes, quite enough Theyre like the cells highway, man that aint no bluff The mitochondria is the cells energy ace Its why you can use the muscles in your face Golgi apparatus: cells packaging place Packs each product into a little brief case CHORUS (less)
