Rubik and her family left Poland in 1988 and lived in Greece, Canada, and Umtata, South Africa. She used to study in a primary and secondary school in Częstochowa, Poland. Rubik was introduced to modeling while attending a British high school in Paris. She wanted to finish her schooling before officially becoming a model, and so only worked on school holidays. Her mother, father and sister still reside in Poland. Rubik began her modeling career soon after graduating from high school. She has been featured on the covers of various magazines, including French, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and German Vogue, Numéro, Flair, Russh, Nylon and Elle. She has modeled for such designers/brands as Givenchy, Chloé, Christian Dior, Hermès, Valentino, Gucci, , H&M, Gap, Fendi, Missoni, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, and Ralph Lauren. She has also done haute couture for Valentino, Chanel, Christian Lacroix and Elie Saab. She has appeared in editorials for Numéro, iD, W Magazine, V Magazine, Harpers Bazaar, and Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, German, Spanish, British, French, and Italian Vogue.
